Marcel Sternberger Collection

Marcel Sternberger was a preeminent photographer of the 20th Century who had the fortune of capturing portraits of such notable historic figures as Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Albert Einstein, and President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, among so many others. We were challenged to present this beautiful photographic work in a way that would at once highlight its importance as well as present his photographic work compiled in, "THE PSYCHOLOGICAL PORTRAIT: Marcel Sternberger's Revelations in Photography."

The website presents the Marcel Sternberger Collection, a bound, printed collection of Sternberger's most prominent photographs. It is styled in a straightforward black and white presentation so as not to interfere with the photographs themselves. The grid and typography chosen is to give homage to the style of the time period in which Sternberger captured his imagery.
