Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue – Last to Leave
Last to Leave is a studio album of original music by Americana band, Gal Holiday. Partially inspired by the decade following Hurricane Katrina, the title of this album was charged with creating the sense of immediacy found in a land quickly being consumed by water.
Here we created fluid, water-infused imagery utilizing layers of watercolors painted in and around maps of the rivers and bayous that flow through the Southeast Louisiana region. The fluidity and traditional country sounds are echoed in the vintage hand drawn type of "Gal Holiday". A strong cover image of "the Gal" represents strength in the face of adversity.
